Description
COPSIL 3 is a white RTV-2 silicone elastomer with very high mechanical performance, primarily designed for the manufacture of custom silicone liners. Its very low hardness of 48 Shore 00 makes it suitable for producing soft parts for applications requiring comfort and flexibility.
COPSIL 3 silicone can be used in contact with the skin and complies with ISO 10993-5. It is therefore suitable for O&P device applications, particularly for the manufacture of custom liners and socket. COPSIL 3 is part of the COPSIL silicone range developed by COP for O&P and technical applications.
Technical characteristics
COPSIL 3 is a two-component system consisting of a resin and a hardener. Highly fluid, it is mixed in equal parts and cures at room temperature through a platinum-catalyzed addition-cure reaction. Polymerization can be accelerated by applying heat. Its flexibility and mechanical properties also make it suitable for other technical applications requiring a very low-hardness white RTV-2 silicone.
